For IP distribution, Grass Valley™ offers MEDIAEDGE®, a multi-channel, multi-location HD/SD video-over-IP system that delivers both standard-definition and high-definition video using standard TCP/IP networks to SD/HD display devices. It allows you to deliver content via video-on-demand (VOD), scheduled playback, and live broadcast. Flexible and modular, the system follows industry standards such as the Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL) protocol to manage digital signage content across hundreds of displays. It also includes software for content management. The MEDIAEDGE line is ideal for point-of-sale, corporate, and other video retrieval and digital signage applications. Its family of products includes MEDIAEDGE Server Software, the MEDIAEDGE Set-Top Box, MEDIAEDGE Client Software Player, MEDIAEDGE Encoders, MEDIAEDGE LSB Encapsulator, MEDIAEDGE Display Content Manager software, and the HDMA4100 and HDMA4000Sync video players. For the storage, playback, and IP distribution of media files, the T2 iDDR is a complete and self-contained SD and HD audio/video playout center. Featuring extensive rear-panel audio/video connectivity, the T2 iDDR can accept files via USB 2.0, or by data transfer over a standard Gigabit Ethernet network. The T2 iDDR also accepts media from other applications including HQAVI, MPEG-2, QuickTime, Windows Media Video HD, JPEG, TIFF, TARGA, and BMP files. With the T2 iDDR, you can exchange content at high speed over a network or via removable media, such as SSD through USB, FireWire (IEEE 1394), or the dedicated 2.5-inch HDD/SSD slot. The T2 iDDR has two playout channels for independent editing and previewing, or for delivering content to two different display systems simultaneously. | |
