Lumens has announced Microsoft Teams certification for its VC-R32 HD PTZ camera. For integrators working on meeting rooms and teaching spaces, the camera combines auto-framing with simultaneous HDMI, USB 3.0 and IP outputs.

The certification announcement adds to the VC-R32’s role in video conferencing installations. Its 72.5° horizontal field of view accommodates groups, while the 12x optical zoom lets you frame individual presenters more tightly. Built-in Auto Framing automatically adjusts the composition to include participants.
For system designers, these features offer different ways to frame a room as the discussion moves between group participation and a single speaker.
Three simultaneous outputs
The VC-R32 delivers video at up to 1080p60 through simultaneous HDMI, USB 3.0 and IP outputs. These connections give designers options for conferencing, local display, recording and streaming within the same installation.

Control and installation options
Replacing the VC-R31, the VC-R32 adds RS-422 control and RS-232 over IP. Its Ethernet connection supports power, video, audio and control over a single network cable.
Lumens also offers integration with its CamConnect voice-tracking solution for automated meeting-room camera operation. This provides a separate consideration for projects that need camera framing to follow the active speaker.
The camera supports upright or inverted installation and is available in black or white, suiting different mounting positions and room finishes.
