On Wednesday 28 October, Mark Hall from Corsair Solutions and Jack Ericson, ANZ Director for Visionary, are running a live 45-minute session on the Visionary XB5 AV-over-IP Conferencing Bridge. Live demo first, then Q&A.
If you saw the XB5 running in the Visionary room on our Integrate stand, this is the longer version.
What the XB5 does
The XB5 connects a laptop to a Visionary AV-over-IP system over a single USB-C cable. That one connection carries video, audio, Ethernet and up to 100W of charging.
The laptop sees the room’s cameras, microphones, speakers and displays as standard USB devices. Teams, Zoom, Webex and other platforms pick them up without drivers or extra software.
- Bi-directional 4K60 4:4:4 video
- UVC and UAC support for Windows, macOS and ChromeOS
- AES67 and Dante audio
- PoE+ powered and fanless
- Works with Visionary 5-Series endpoints on standard 1GbE switches
All in a single box!
BYOD is where a lot of meeting rooms come unstuck. The presenter plugs in, the display works, and then the room camera and ceiling mics don’t show up in the meeting. The usual fix is a stack of USB extenders, switchers and audio interfaces under the table.
The XB5 replaces that stack with one box on the network. If you’re already spec’ing Visionary for video distribution, the meeting room becomes part of the same system instead of sitting beside it.
The XB5 is designed to make system integration cleaner and more efficient.
